The Sternwheeler Advisory Committee is intended to make recommendations to the Port Commission related to the following tasks:
Task 1: Future of Sternwheeler. The Committee will consider a range of options for the long-term future of the sternwheeler, identify a preferred plan, and make recommendations to the full Commission. If assigned by the Commission, the Committee may also review a proposed agreement for the operation and maintenance of the sternwheeler, provide review comments to the Commission, and identify recommendations for Commission adoption of the proposed agreement.
Task 2: Repower of the Sternwheeler. The Committee will consider a range of options to renew or replace the engine and related power equipment and identify a recommended plan to be considered to the Commission.
Task 3: Assess and advise the Commission of any Sternwheeler operations agreement impacts on the Café building.
